DEDHAM — The Planning Board approved a 380-unit multifamily project at 124 Quabish Road. The voice vote, with no opposition recorded, came after attorney Peter Zaka and architect Michael McKay showed design changes made during architectural peer review. Zaka called it Dedham's first application under the town's MBTA Communities zoning, and said he would return June 10 with a draft certificate of action.
The board continued a Washington Street hearing to June 10 and a McNeil Way review to June 24, and accepted a withdrawn Elm Street EV charging application. In a scoping session, Vice Chair Jessica Porter and members told the 50 Bridge Street, LLC team they wanted neighbor input before waiving traffic and engineering review of revised Bridge Street plans. Owner Al Mateo said "the numbers just don't work" under the approved designs.
