Select Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026

DEDHAM — The Dedham Select Board tabled a plan to notice available liquor licenses, opting to bring in Town Counsel first. Chair James A. MacDonald asked members to hold the item, saying "there's a lot of background information I think would be helpful to everyone, including what you can and what you can't do in the process." Assistant Town Manager Nancy Baker said recent closures of Hooters, Victory Grill and another restaurant freed up an unusually large number of licenses, with "a lot of interest" from prospective applicants including incoming restaurant First Watch. The board separately approved, 5-0, nine fiscal year 2026 budget transfers totaling tens of thousands of dollars, including $32,000 for fire overtime, and ratified parking restrictions for the Bay State Antiques Auto Show after a member raised concerns about blocked bicycle lanes on East Street.
