Dedham Youth Hockey released its fall schedule and the Dedham Basketball Association issued a call for volunteers while celebrating its senior scholarship winners.

DEDHAM -- Local youth sports organizations offered updates this week even as the town's core youth leagues stayed largely in preseason mode.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Dedham Youth Hockey posted schedules for its travel teams, including Mite Travel, U8 Mites, Squirts, Peewee, U10 Girls, U12 Girls, U14 and the Girls Middle School and U16/U18 Girls squads. Listed matchups have the club's teams facing opponents including Wellesley, Woburn, Milton, Watertown, Concord Carlisle, Framingham, Waltham, Newton, Belmont, Norwood and other Greater Boston area programs, with games beginning in late September and continuing into October at rinks across the region.

The Dedham Basketball Association, which has Town and Travel registration open for the 2026-27 season, is asking parents to join its board of volunteers, saying it needs help "especially of younger players" to keep the program running; families can reach out to dedhambasketballboard@gmail.com. The DBA also recognized its scholarship winners: Abby LeGendre (University of Tennessee), Keira Murphy-Clinton (Northeastern University), Dante Gutierrez (University of South Carolina) and Grace Bender (Salve Regina University).

Dedham Youth Baseball's Fall Ball sandlot league, for Little League age players, remains listed as registration "coming soon" for the September through October season, with games generally set for Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. Dedham Little League's website remained under construction with no updates posted.
