Dedham Basketball Association opens registration for Town and Travel basketball.

DEDHAM -- The Dedham Basketball Association has opened registration for both its Town and Travel basketball programs ahead of the 2026-27 season, according to the organization's website.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Town Basketball registration is open to players in grades K-12, with no tryouts required; all registered players are placed on a team. The program costs $135 per player, with a family maximum of $270, and includes a team jersey, according to DBA. The Town season runs early December through late February, with one practice and one game per week, all played in Dedham.

Travel Basketball tryout registration is also open, for grades 3-8. Tryouts are required, and not all players who try out are guaranteed a roster spot, DBA said. Travel practices begin in November, with games running December through early March against opponents across the Metrowest Basketball League. The Travel program costs $380, which DBA said covers league entry, officials, gym rentals and first-time uniforms.

DBA said financial assistance is available for families who need it, and interested families can reach out confidentially to the DBA president.
