The Town of Dedham announced that the state election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The town has seven voting precincts, but they are served by five polling locations: Dedham Town Hall (Precinct 1), Riverdale School (Precinct 2), Mother Brook Arts & Community Center (Precinct 3), Dedham Middle School (Precincts 4 and 6), and Greenlodge School (Precincts 5 and 7).

Residents can confirm their precinct number and polling location using the town's Voting Precincts GIS Map, available at www.dedham-ma.gov/GIS under GIS Maps and Applications, or through the state's "Where Do I Vote" page. Residents may also call the town at 781-751-9200 for help.

The town said a specimen, or sample, ballot and the state's Voter Guide, mailed to households in a red booklet, are available for residents to review before heading to the polls.

Election results will not be posted live. After polls close, the Dedham Town Clerk and Board of Registrars will conduct a certification process before unofficial results are posted to the town's website homepage and at www.dedhamma.gov/ElectionResults. The town noted that all results remain unofficial until certification is complete, after which official results will be submitted to the Secretary of State's office and posted to the town website.
