Dedham's Conservation Commission adopted new Conservation Land Rules and Regulations and continued a contested Presidential Park roadway case to July 23. Chair Erik DeAvila led the unanimous vote to adopt the regulations after a two-week public comment period in the Dedham Times. Engineer Mike Carter and attorney Richard "Chip" Nyland argued a stalled Kennedy Drive and Reagan Lane subdivision roadway was "degraded" before 1996, qualifying it for relaxed state wetlands standards, while members David Hilgeman and Nathan Gauthier pushed for more evidence to confirm it.
Resident Kylie Calzone told the board "the UBA still hasn't officially even been approved on this project." The commission also closed out a Kensington Road garage project's certificate of compliance and approved stormwater-driven changes to a 189 Riverside Drive home renovation, with no votes against either.
