Dedham Secures $6,000 Grant For Senior Rides

The Dedham Council on Aging Board heard it secured a second $6,000 grant from the Commission on Disability to fund free taxi rides for seniors through October. Members approved April and May minutes with corrections and welcomed new Assistant Director Stephanie Lopez, about three weeks into the job.

Council on Aging approves March minutes, adjourns

Dedham's Council on Aging heard check-ins at 17,248 against a 25,000 goal. Director Courtney Daly said monthly figures included 858 event check-ins and 8,821 fitness check-ins, with the total rising from 2,086 a year ago to 2,232.
